Carrie Williams is a recent graduate from Auburn University where she received her bachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. It was at Auburn where Carrie first developed her skills in broadcasting, working for her college TV station as a general-assignment reporter, anchor, Executive Producer and Station Manager.
In addition to covering political and human-interest stories throughout the East Coast, Williams served as NBC Washington's "DC Scene" entertainment correspondent and later landed an opportunity to work for MTV Productions in New York City. Exploring her niche in the Entertainment Industry, Williams had the opportunity to produce a number of entertainment features interviewing celebrity figures such as Akon, Justin Beiber, OK Go, Timbaland, Hayden Panettiere, Demi Lovato, Friday Night Boys & Jesse Mccartney.
In 2007, Carrie Williams was accepted into George Washington University's Semester in Washington Journalism Program where she spent the summer immersed in journalism intensive-courses in addition to interning full-time at the NBC Washington bureau. At NBC, Williams and four other interns produced, directed, edited, filmed and even starred in the reality-based TV series, "NBC Interns." It wasn't long until NBC Network Executives noticed the success of the series and chose to air "NBC Interns" after Saturday Night Live in 2008. One year later, The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences presented Williams and the "NBC Interns" an Emmy Award for "Best Student Production."
Following her Emmy-Award Winning experience at NBC, Williams worked for ABC News in Washington D.C. assisting with the launch of their new show, "Washington Business Tonight!" During her time with ABC, Williams was responsible for on-air bookings and research; corresponding with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce representatives as well as Diplomats and Corporate Executives to feature on the show.
After making her imprint on Washington at NBC and ABC News, in 2009, Williams accepted an opportunity to work for MTV Networks in New York City; assisting with shows including "The 5," "Discover & Download," "America's Best Dance Crew," "16 and Pregnant," "The Real World-Road Rules After Show" and "What Where You Thinking?" In addition, Williams was hired by the Emmy-Award Winning production company, Space Station Media, to work as a production assistant on the "MTV Unplugged" series featuring Adele, Katy Perry, Paramore, Vampire Weekend and All Time Low. Thereafter,Williams assisted on the "Grape Nuts: A Guys Manual" commercial series featuring ESPN hose, Kenny Mayne.
In 2009, Williams established Gemini Productions, a freelance production company delivering a wide array of video content on multimedia platforms including corporate promotional videos, event coverage, music videos & celebrity interviews.
Currently, Carrie Williams is trying her hand in the fast-paced Advertising Industry in New York City, recently accepting a job to work for MTV Entertainment Group as a Client Service Representative for Comedy Central and Spike TV. In addition to her full-time job at MTV, Carrie continues her work as a freelance producer for Gemini Productions.
